Your Southern Highlands Wedding

Declaring out loud your love and commitment to marriage is a profound and intimate moment in your life. So the role of a wedding celebrant is one of great trust. It’s an important milestone in your life but there is plenty of room for fun and self-expression in weddings and it’s my mission as your marriage celebrant or officiant to make your wedding engaging and enjoyable. It’s all about love, your love for each other and sharing your happiness with family & friends who love you too. I get to the heart of your story, as the ceremony is the heart of the wedding.

Listening to your journey and writing it into the ceremony is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job as your celebrant. Delivering a ceremony that reflects your love and life together is the most rewarding thing of all. If a short and sweet wedding is what you are planning that's fine too. Because it's your day, I get that!

Wedding Planning

Where to Start?

Many couples feel a bit overwhelmed when they start planning a wedding. So much to do, so many things you've never thought of before.

To get the ball rolling your welcome to call and have a chat. Or start an email conversation. Begin with the date, that is important. Then we can move onto the fun stuff. We will meet up to discuss the vibe you're hoping to achieve, the location, size of guest list and ceremony options.

After I get an idea of what you want I'll give you a quote. I’ll talk you through the entire process and if you choose to trust me with your precious wedding I’ll guide you all the way through till that final kiss!

Notice of Intended Marriage

Let's shorten that to NOIM.

Marriage Paperwork is a big deal but it's really a simple matter. First step is to sign a NOIM at least one calendar month before the wedding. The NOIM is valid for 18 months so you can plan ahead.

That is the only thing you legally need to do before your wedding. Along with providing passport or Birth Certificate along with a Drivers Licence or Photo I.D.

Take a look at the legal page for more information or download a NOIM to see what it's all about on the button below.

Writing the Wedding Ceremony

When you have locked me in as your celebrant I’ll email lots of info and options. So we can put a ceremony together. That allows couples the time and privacy to make choices of the “I do” moment "Vow" and “Ring Exchange”. Also, there will be lots of questions about you two, that's what I need to write a great story.

Then I’ll keep things on track and write the ceremony. If you’re traveling to the Southern Highlands for the wedding, Skype or Zoom or FaceTime are great for our first interview. Or writing sessions and even the rehearsal.

Couples can complete paper work long distance too, I'll tell you how to do that.
